A car with five people inside fell about 30ft (9m) down a cliff in Kent.

Four women and one man were in the car on Cliff Road, Birchington, when it went over the cliff at about 21:00 BST on Saturday.

The car landed on its roof trapping three people, Kent Fire and Rescue Service said.

Three female passengers were cut out of the car and taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

Their injuries were not life-threatening.

The road was closed for just over two hours while emergency services were on the scene.
