Comedians Harry Hill and Sandi Toksvig are among those to be awarded honorary degrees by the University of Kent.

Hill grew up in the county and trained as a neurosurgeon before opting for comedy.

He and Toksvig will become Doctors of Arts at a ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral on 14 July.

Chatham musician Billy Childish and Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder of Kids Company, will be honoured at Rochester Cathedral on 8 July.
