Kent Police charge 18 people following dawn drugs raids

Drugs raid in Tunbridge Wells The raids follow a 12-month investigation into the supply of drugs in and around Tunbridge Wells

Eighteen people have been charged by Kent Police following a series of raids over two days.

About 200 officers took part in the dawn searches of 29 addresses in West Kent, Gravesend, Sutton and Enfield.

Detectives had been investigating the supply and trafficking of class A drugs. Charges were also made in relation to alleged driving offences and possession of firearms.

Five others were bailed pending further inquiries.

Another man arrested during the raids is being investigated by the UK Border Force.

The two-day operation on Monday and Tuesday follows a 12-month police investigation into the supply of drugs in and around the Tunbridge Wells area.

Drugs, cash, jewellery, an imitation firearm and several cars were also seized.
