Canterbury woman remanded over house fire

A woman has been remanded in custody after being charged with three counts of attempted murder following a house fire in Canterbury.

Pearl Ivy Thomas was also charged with arson to endanger life after the fire on Friday.

Ms Thomas, 37, and the children, one girl and two boys, all under the age of three, were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation and minor burns.

Ms Thomas is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 12 May.
