Cocaine and heroin 'worth millions' seized at Dover port

Cocaine and heroin worth "millions of pounds" have been seized at Dover after a lorry was stopped.

The Home Office said Border Force officers seized about 40lb (18kg) of cocaine and 16lb (7.5kg) of heroin from the cab of a Slovenian-registered lorry carrying a load of acoustic panels.

The drugs had a potential street value running into millions of pounds, a spokesman said.

A man was due to appear earlier at Folkestone Magistrates' Court.
