A driver who died when his car overturned on the M20 has been named as 30-year-old David Fowler.

Mr Fowler was driving in the outside lane of the motorway when he had to avoid another car which had stopped after hitting the central reservation.

Kent Police said his green Ford Focus overturned, left the London-bound carriageway and hit some trees at about 21:20 GMT on Saturday.

His family described him as "a generous, full-of-life son".

The crash happened between junctions nine and eight after a red Ford Focus had stopped in the outside lane.

Mr Fowler, who lived in the Ashford area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
