Hawkhurst motorcyclist hit by car dies in hospital

A 35-year-old motorcyclist who came off his bike and was hit by a car in Kent has died in hospital.

Kent Police said the man was riding towards Sussex in Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, where the crash happened at about 17:25 GMT on Monday.

He was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury but died later. The car driver was not injured.

The road was closed temporarily to allow emergency services to work at the scene.
