A business park in Kent has been awarded £6m to help turn unused sites into economic hubs.

Discovery Park in Sandwich is one of 12 enterprise zones in the country to receive funding from the government.

There are currently 68 businesses on the site, which formerly housed pharmaceutical firm Pfizer. About 1,200 people work there.

The money means unused buildings can be refurbished, which the government hopes will encourage more business.
