Four men deny murdering Italian Joele Leotta

Four men have denied murdering a 20-year-old Italian man in Kent.

Joele Leotta was found seriously injured in a bedsit above a Maidstone restaurant in October 2013, eight days after he arrived from northern Italy.

Aleksandras Zuravliovas, 26, Linas Zidonis, 21, Tomas Gelezinis, 30, and Saulius Tamoliunas, 23, pleaded not guilty at Maidstone Crown Court.

They also denied wounding Mr Leotta's friend Alex Galbiati with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Mr Zuravliovas, of Beaumont Road, Maidstone, Mr Gelezinis, of Lower Stone Street, Maidstone, Mr Tamoliunas of Union Street, Maidstone and Mr Zidonis of no fixed abode - all Lithuanian nationals - were remanded in custody to face trial on 7 April.
