Second teenager dies after car leaves road in Bearsted

A second teenager has died after a crash in which a car left the road and hit a tree in Bearsted in Kent.

The 19-year-old man was a passenger in the red Ford Ka when it hit the tree and ended up on its roof on the A20 at about 02:15 GMT on Saturday.

He died in hospital in London on Monday afternoon. The 18-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kent Police has renewed its appeal for witnesses to the accident in Ashford Road to come forward.
