Teenage girl hit and killed by car in Coxheath

A teenage girl died when she was hit by a car as she walked with her boyfriend in Kent.

The 16-year-old was crossing the B2163 Heath Road in Coxheath when she was struck by a Mazda at about 18:00 GMT on Saturday.

Kent police said the car was going towards Boughton Monchelsea. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police asked anyone who saw the couple to contact them.
