Driver sought after Kent mobility scooter collision

A motorist who collided with a mobility scooter, knocking its rider into the road, has been urged to contact police.

The car, believed to be a grey Ford, struck the scooter, which was being driven by an 84-year-old man, on Sandwich Road, in Whitfield, Kent.

Police said the motorist would have been aware of the collision, but did not stop to check the condition of the rider, who received minor injuries.

The collision happened just after 10:00 GMT on Saturday.

Officers said they believed another vehicle may have driven past immediately after the incident, but also failed to stop.
