Car driver killed in New Romney head-on lorry crash

A 51-year-old man was killed when his car was involved in a head-on crash with a lorry in Kent.

Police said "for reasons yet to be established" a Citroen Xsara Picasso crossed into the path of a Scania lorry on the A259 in New Romney.

The 51-year-old driver from New Romney was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the lorry were not injured in the crash on Thursday. Kent Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact officers.
