Lorry driver held after child injured in Kent collision

A lorry driver has been arrested after a child suffered serious head injuries in a collision in Kent.

The nine-year-old girl was in the back of a car which was in collision with a lorry in Hartfield Road, Cowden, near Edenbridge, on Saturday afternoon.

A 35-year-old man from Latvia driving the truck was questioned on suspicion of dangerous driving and later bailed.

Police are trying to trace the driver of a light brown car, who may have witnessed the collision.
