Man arrested in Broadstairs after woman found dead

A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found at a property in Kent.

Officers were called to reports of an injured woman at the address in Whiteness Road, Broadstairs, just before 13:30 GMT.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers said the arrested man, from Westgate-on-Sea, was known to her.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "Police are not treating it as a random incident at this stage."
