Cyclist dies after crash near Folkestone West station

A cyclist has died after colliding with a car near a Kent railway station.

The crash happened in Folkestone just after 12:00 BST on Wednesday, Kent Police said.

A silver Vauxhall Zafra collided with the cyclist in Shorncliffe Road, at the junction with Audley Road, close to Folkestone West station.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with suspected minor injuries.
