Dover taxi driver charged after boy dies

A taxi driver has been charged with causing death by careless driving after a 13-year-old boy died in a crash in Kent.

The Skoda Octavia taxi collided with a Komatsu digger on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 at Shepherdswell, near Dover, on 15 March.

The boy, who was in the taxi, died at the scene.

The 48-year-old driver, from Dover, has been bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates' Court on 28 October.
