Plans for a park-and-ride scheme in Whitstable have been submitted to Canterbury City Council for consideration.

The scheme, based in Old Thanet Way, is in response to the expanding population and increased tourists.

The site would take between 300 and 500 vehicles.

Councillor Ashley Clark, who is behind the scheme, said it would make it Whitstable a "better place for residents and tourists".
