Two men have been questioned in connection with an armed robbery at a jeweller's shop in Kent.

During the raid at the Andrew Smith shop in High Street, West Malling, on Friday, two men armed with an axe stole a large amount of jewellery.

They fled the scene in a blue Peugeot 106, which was driven by a third man who was waiting outside.

Two men, aged 27 and 29, were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of robbery, and later released on bail until October.

Det Con Graham Hunt, from Kent Police, said witnesses were still being sought, in particular anyone who saw the car the suspects used, which was found dumped in Offham where it is believed they transferred to another vehicle.
