Three men hurt in Isle of Grain police car crash

Three people have been treated in hospital after their van was in a crash with a marked police car responding to a 999 call in Kent.

The men suffered whiplash injuries when their Transit van collided with the police Volvo on the B2001 on the Isle of Grain on Thursday.

They were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital along with two police officers, who were not seriously hurt.

The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out.

"Moments after the collision at least nine vehicles had stopped and there appeared to be dozens of people milling around," said Det Sgt Scott Lynch.

"However, I only have the details of one witness so I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward."
