Woman hit by falling masonry in Folkestone

A woman has been hit by a piece of masonry which fell from a building in Kent.

The woman was injured in Sandgate Road, in Folkestone. Police and paramedics were called at 12:35 BST.

A spokesman from South East Coast Ambulance Service said the injured woman was thought to be aged in her 20s.

He said she was airlifted to King's College Hospital in London with potentially serious injuries.
