Sheppey Crossing closed after 'armed robbery'

A police helicopter has been deployed to search for two suspects after reports of an armed robbery in Kent.

Kent Police said two men are believed to have entered Mr G's amusement arcade in The Promenade, Leysdown-on-Sea, Sheerness just after 12:15 BST.

It is believed they threatened staff before escaping with cash. Armed police were at the scene.

The Sheppey Crossing was closed briefly to allow road checks by officers investigating the robbery.

Police said nobody was injured in the raid.
