Ramsgate joyriders crash double-decker bus

Joyriders who stole a double-decker bus crashed it into a garden wall, parked cars and a lamppost while driving it through Ramsgate.

Kent Police said two men were spotted running away from the crash scene in Grange Road, in the early hours.

Officers said the bus was due to be used as a replacement bus service before it was stolen from the town's railway station.

The force is working with British Transport Police to catch the suspects.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 3.45am this morning after a double-decker bus crashed into a garden wall in Grange Road, Ramsgate.

"It had also collided with a lamp-post and some parked cars.

"Two men were seen to run off."
