Two charged over Kent armed robberies

Two men have been charged with eight armed robberies at newsagents across Kent.

Shops in Chatham, Gravesend, Larkfield, Ashford, Longfield and Rochester were targeted in the 12 months from March 2012.

A Kent Police spokesman said a 41-year-old man from Chatham and a 41-year-old man from London had been charged with eight counts of robbery.

They have been remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.
