M25 closed in Kent after pedestrian death

Part of the M25 was closed in Kent following the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a lorry at about 03:30 BST.

The man, thought to be from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene, Kent Police said.

The motorway was closed clockwise between junctions three and four for about eight hours.

Kent Police warned motorists to expect delays during the morning rush hour while emergency services were at the scene.

A diversion was put in place.
