Hundreds arrested over burglaries and vehicle thefts

Hundreds of people have been arrested during a three-month police investigation into household burglaries and vehicle theft in Kent

During Operation Castle 373 people were arrested, 155 charged and 210 crimes solved, Kent Police said.

Among those arrested was a 17-year-old who admitted 30 crimes including burglary and a 21-year-old who was then jailed for burglary and drugs offenses.

Police said more days of action were planned.

Deputy Chief Constable Alan Pughsley said: "Days of action not only result in arresting people who we believe are breaking the law but they disrupt organised crime gangs,"
