Sports car driver killed in A2 collision in Kent

A 44-year-old motorist has died after his sports car was hit by a tipper truck on the A2 in Kent.

The motorist, from the Dover area, was driving an MGB when it is believed it broke down at the side of the London-bound carriageway near Patrixbourne.

It was then hit by a Scania lorry, killing the man. The driver of the lorry was uninjured

The collision happened at about 15:20 BST on Wednesday and led to the closure of the road for nearly five hours.
