Ex-security manager Christopher Griffiths on theft charge

The former security manager of crime prevention body the Safer Medway Partnership has been charged with stealing from the organisation.

Christopher Griffiths, 61, of Fir Tree Grove, Chatham, is charged with five counts of theft by employee.

He is accused of stealing a cheque for £2,520.99 and stealing four amounts of cash - two of £438, one of £436.80 and one of £244.80.

Mr Griffiths is due to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Safer Medway Partnership was formed by businesses to combat crime and anti-social behaviour in partnership with Medway Police and Medway Council.
