Arrest after lorry crash on A20 out of Dover
A driver has been arrested after a crash between two lorries left another driver critically injured.
A DAF truck was in collision with a Scania lorry at 07:50 GMT on Wednesday, on the A20 London-bound carriageway at Capel le Ferne. The road was closed for 11 hours.
The 55-year-old driver of the French-registered DAF was taken by air ambulance to hospital in London.
The driver of the Scania, 60, was held on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He was released on bail until 5 August, Kent Police said.
The injured driver was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The carriageway was closed until 18:00 to allow investigations to be carried out and to clear a diesel spill.
Police have asked anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
