Diamond ring taken from dying Kent cancer patient

A diamond ring has been been stolen from the hand of a dying cancer patient who was staying at a Kent hospice.

Kent Police said the item could have been stolen within hours of Wendy Dolton's death at Pilgrims Hospice in Canterbury.

Chief executive Steve Auty said the hospice was co-operating with police and he was also leading an internal investigation but there was no evidence at this stage to implicate any staff or volunteers.
