Swimmer dies after being rescued from Dartford lake

A man rescued after being seen struggling to swim in a lake in Kent has died in hospital.

Kent Police and paramedics were called to Galleon Boulevard, on the Crossways Business Park in Dartford, at about 10:00 GMT on Wednesday.

It followed reports of concern for a man swimming in Cotton Lake.

The man in his 30s was taken to Kings College Hospital in south London but was later pronounced dead. Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
