Police investigating the murder of a man in Dartford have been given more time to question two suspects.

Four people were arrested in connection with the shooting of Kevin McKinley, 32, in Overy Street on Tuesday.

A man, aged 24, and a woman, 25, both from Dartford, were arrested the same day on suspicion of murder.

Two other men were held on Wednesday. One was released without charge and the other is being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Mr McKinley, who police believe came from nearby Stone, was found suffering from a bullet wound following the incident at about 20:00 GMT.

Police said he died in hospital. A firearm was later recovered.

One witness said she heard two gunshots "in quick succession".

She said: "Members of the public rushed to try and help the man who was bleeding badly."
