Teens charged with New Year's Day murder of Gillingham man

Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of a 28-year-old man from Gillingham on New Year's Day.

David Young, of Beatty Avenue, was found stabbed in the thigh at 02:50 GMT in Windmill Road, Gillingham. He died in hospital on 5 January.

Stuart Porter, 18, of Buttermere Close, in Gillingham, and a 17-year-old from Rochester have been charged with his murder.

The pair are due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on 21 March.
