Two teenage boys have been arrested after a train driver was hit over the head at a station in west Kent.

The man, in his 40s, needed hospital treatment after the attack at Bat and Ball station in Sevenoaks last Tuesday.

The boys, aged 15 from Sevenoaks, and aged 16 of no fixed address, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and later bailed.

The victim was allegedly attacked after he tried to stop three youths from playing with the doors of his train.

The First Capital Connect service had travelled from Kentish Town, in London.
