Hooded robbers steal nearly £8,000 in Kent

A man was robbed of nearly £8,000 as he walked along a road in Kent.

Two hooded men threatened the 50-year-old in Cavour Road, in Sheerness, forcing him to hand over the cash, which belonged to the man's employer.

Kent Police said the two robbers - one described as "chubby" and one slim - escaped down Invicta Road and were last seen in Galway Road.

They are appealing for witnesses to the crime, which happened on 14 January at about 10:20 GMT.
