Teens arrested after Kent policeman injured in hit-and-run

Two teenagers have been arrested after a Kent Police officer was knocked down in a hit-and-run.

A 15-year-old boy and a boy aged 16, both from Chatham, were arrested for aggravated vehicle taking.

The officer was hit after he had stopped a vehicle in Luton Road, Chatham, at 18:50 GMT on Saturday.

The car was found abandoned in Constitution Road. The police officer was later discharged from hospital after treatment.
