Swanley death: Man arrested on suspicion of murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 23-year-old woman was found with fatal injuries in Kent.

Police said emergency services had been called to Swanley Village Road, Swanley, at 23:18 BST on Wednesday. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 22-year-old man, who was known to the woman, was arrested after he walked into a police station at 03:00.

The scene remains cordoned off between Beechenlea Lane and Button Street for forensic examination.

Formal identification of the woman has not yet taken place, and a post-mortem examination will be held later to establish the cause of death.
