A cyclist has been killed after hitting a stationary lorry on a road in Kent on Saturday afternoon, police say.

The 55-year-old from Strood crashed on the eastbound carriageway of the A228 Snodland bypass at around 14:00 BST.

Det Sgt Scott Lynch from Kent Police wants to speak to anyone who saw him before or at the time of the crash.

"This collision occurred on a fine dry afternoon, the rider was wearing a bright orange shirt and on a yellow racing bike," he said.
