Man charged over Folkestone assault

A 27-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man was assaulted in a Kent coastal town.
The 44-year-old man suffered wounds to his upper body during the attack in Blackbull Road, Folkestone, just after 18:00 BST on Thursday.
He remains in hospital in London in a critical condition, Kent Police said.
Stephen Boorman, from Folkestone, was due to appear at the town's magistrates' court on Monday.
A 29-year-old man arrested on Thursday has been released without charge.
