Kent Police appeal: Driver may have seen A2 Boughton crash
A driver who may have seen a fatal road crash in which a cyclist was hit by a car is being sought by Kent Police.
The 29-year-old cyclist died at the scene of the collision on the coastbound A2 at Boughton.
Officers arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the incident on 3 August. He has been bailed pending inquiries.
Insp Martin Stevens said police had spoken to a number of people and wanted to trace the driver of a VW Golf.
He said the Golf was travelling on the same carriageway when the crash happened and added: "We hope that the driver of the Golf can come forward and assist our inquiries."
The crash happened near the Gate services, between the Brenley and Canterbury junctions, at about 19:40 BST.
At the time, police said the cyclist was hit by a Vauxhall Meriva.
