Ashford man charged with attempted murder of horse owner

A man from Kent has been charged with the attempted murder of a woman who was shot while she tended her horses.

Brian Fraser, 63, from Shadoxhurst, Ashford, has also been charged with possession of a shotgun without a certificate.

The woman, from Benenden, was shot in the leg in the grounds of her home on 15 March.

Mr Fraser was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court.
