Cyclist killed in collision with lorry in Kent

A cyclist has died in Kent after being in collision with a small lorry.

The crash happened on the London-bound carriageway of the A299 Thanet Way at Broomfield, near Herne Bay, just before 12:00 BST.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and the carriageway was closed until just before 15:45 BST while police investigated the scene.

Kent Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
