Margate's Tudor House 'needs volunteers to stay open'

Tudor House, Margate The medieval house was closed for repairs to its roof and chimneys

Volunteers are being sought to help keep a medieval house in Kent open to the public.

A group called Friends of Margate Tudor House made the appeal as the town's oldest property reopens to the public.

The historical building, on King Street, has been closed while repairs were made to its roof and chimneys.

The group, which is preparing an exhibition on the history of Tudor House, hopes the property can be opened every Saturday during the summer.
