Kent MP Sir Roger Gale defends gay marriage remarks
A Kent MP who caused controversy with his comments about gay marriage, has defended his remarks saying he believes that the meaning of the word "marriage" is unique to the union between a man and a woman.
Sir Roger Gale wrote an article saying he is opposed to the coalition government's current proposal to legalise gay marriage.
