Motorist unhurt after object thrown from Kent bridge hits car

A woman has escaped unhurt after an object was thrown from a road bridge over a motorway in Kent, shattering her car windscreen.

The woman, in her 20s, was driving along the London-bound carriageway of the M20 on Saturday evening when the incident happened at junction three.

Kent Police said it could have had "disastrous consequences".

"To throw something large from a bridge at a moving vehicle could kill someone," said Insp Nick Sparkes.
