Kent Police seize drugs and arrest two in Maidstone raid

Police drugs raid As wells as drugs, a large amount of cash and suspected stolen jewellery was seized in the raid

Police have seized drugs with a street value of more than £250,000 and arrested two people following a raid at a house near Maidstone in Kent.

The RSPCA were also present at the raid on Friday at a property off Coldharbour Lane, Ditton.

Officers seized five birds and three dogs under welfare grounds.

A 30-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries until 5 May and a 17 year-old from West Malling has been given a youth reprimand.

As well as cocaine, skunk and amphetamine, a large amount of cash and suspected stolen jewellery was confiscated in the raid.

"What has been identified is the potential for drugs and the associated crime to become an issue if left unchallenged," said Insp Nicholas Sparks.
