Police investigate Canterbury pond death

Police are treating the death of a man whose body was discovered in a pond in east Kent as suspicious.

Emergency services pulled the man from Reed Pond, near Tennyson Avenue in Canterbury just after 12:00 GMT.

Officers are currently searching the surrounding area and police divers are expected to search the water shortly.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said the force was "treating the death as suspicious" and an investigation into what had happened had been started.
