Kent launch for Staffordshire Bull Terrier campaign

Animal charities and MPs have called for the reputation of Staffordshire Bull Terriers to be restored.

According to the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the breed now makes up one in five of all their abandoned dogs.

The charity launched a campaign at its Brands Hatch branch, in Kent, to encourage people to adopt them.

In recent years the dog has gained a reputation as dangerous.
