M20 in Kent closed twice in 12 hours

Parts of the M20 in Kent were closed twice in 12 hours after two separate incidents.

The road was closed at junction nine, Ashford West, for a number of hours from 17:00 GMT on Friday after a woman died falling from a footbridge.

A crash involving six cars northbound between junctions four and five at about 05:30 GMT closed the road again.

Ten people received minor injuries in the accident. The motorway has since reopened.

Those injured in Saturday morning's crash have been taken to Pembury Hospital near Tunbridge Wells.
