Work gathers pace on London Array offshore wind farm

Help

Construction is gathering pace on what will be the one of the world's largest offshore wind farms in the Thames Estuary.

The London Array is due to be completed in two phases and will eventually have 341 wind turbines.

The first phase is due to be finished by the end of next year.

Critics of the £2.2bn project believe it is too heavily subsidised by the government.
